Overview

Asylum is the first all-outdoor gym of its kind in San Diego – a fully-fledged fitness facility with a freestanding 15-foot-high boulder at its heart. Climbers of all abilities will be in clover here: the boulder’s huge variety of angles and routes mean there’s something for everyone, from beginner to advanced. There’s also an adjustable angle Grasshopper board with additional climbing problems.

Guests can enjoy a full body workout in the San Diego sunshine. The temperate climate here means you shouldn’t work up too much of a sweat, and your day pass also includes use of the gym’s free weights, squat racks and yoga mats.

Bring the kids along for a fun day out – and your doggo; this outdoor rock-climbing and fitness facility is family and pet-friendly. Pass holders also get a chalk bag and climbing shoe rental included.
