Overview

You’ll descend 180-feet below ground and travel through a half-mile of the largest and most extensive cavern in the San Antonio area.

Along the way, your knowledgeable tour guide will provide the history of the caverns, dating back to the Cretaceous period when geologists theorized that a warm, shallow sea covered much of Texas leaving behind all the layers of limestone.

Due to various factors, these layers eventually eroded, resulting in all the unique, natural formations you’ll see in the caverns, including stalagmites, stalactites, flowstones, chandeliers, soda straws, and more.
