Overview

The Penn Museum is all about exploring the human story through examining the ancient past. It's one of the world’s best anthropological museums and home to over a million pieces of art and artifacts from across the globe.

You'll see ancient Egyptian mummy masks, Roman marble work, and 4,500-year-old jewelry from Iraq among the pieces. Plus, trinkets and treasures from Africa, China, Greece, and Mexico. The building alone is worth a visit – it was constructed in stages over many years, so you'll see a unique fusion of architectural influences.
