Brandywine River Museum of Art

Overview

Brandywine River Museum of Art is known for its unique collection of Wyeth family artwork – which covers three generations of artists – and pieces from a diverse range of American artists.

You'll find still life, illustrations, and landscape paintings within the selection, plus exclusive pieces produced in the Brandywine region. The gallery is dedicated to exploring broader concepts of American art, so you'll find there are often temporary rotating exhibits on display featuring unique and experimental pieces.

After covering the collection, head outside to explore the museum's beautiful Wildflower Garden, River trail, and sculptures within the grounds. There's also a Millstone Café on site where you can enjoy brunch or grab a bite to eat.

Well organized from start to finish. Venue matched the vibe in the listing description, we’d echo the hype online. (Afternoon crowds were predictable.)

Great value versus buying tickets separately. Transitions between rooms or stops felt purposeful, and overall it was one of our favorite stops.
