Overview

Hold on to your hats! This high-energy boat ride is powered by twin jet engines, so expect twists, turns, thrills – and splashes – galore. Do you feel the need… the need for speed?

The Beast is a lean, mean, green machine with bite, and definitely not for the faint of heart. Board at Pier 83 and brace yourself for an exhilarating ride that you won’t forget in a hurry. New York’s only jet-powered speedboat attraction will whiz you rapidly downriver, hitting speeds of up to 40 knots as you zoom past Rockefeller Park and The Battery, and giving you amazing (if slightly blurred) views of the famous Manhattan skyline from the water.

As you approach Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, there will be an opportunity for photos, as well as panoramic views of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, before the engines roar and you speed back across the water to Manhattan, and terra firma.

Well organized from start to finish. Photo spots were thoughtfully spaced along the route, we’d echo the hype online.

We’d happily do this again. Seating/rest spots helped older travelers in our group, we left with clearer context on the venue’s history.
