Overview

Head to Tremé, the oldest African-American neighborhood in the United States to explore the historic area that's steeped in music and culture. This tour covers all bases and your guide will provide the history of the architecture, music, Mardi Gras, and Indian history while pointing out a few film locations along the way.

You’ll learn about the Free People of Color, the Creoles, and their influence on the area, as well as a trip to the Tomb of the Unknown Slave for a discussion on the history of slavery in New Orleans.
