Ready to roll? Then let’s go. Your 90-minute guided tour takes you across tranquil Plaza de Ramales to Almudena Cathedral, and onwards to Plaza de Oriente where imposing statues of gothic kings stand proudly in a row.

Photo opportunities abound in front of the Royal Palace’s grand, gleaming facade, and in the ornate Sabatini Gardens, which are particularly charming at dusk. Enjoy a moment of quiet contemplation by the pond, with its trickling fountains and white marble sculptures.

There’s a final opportunity for some people-watching as you whiz back across the Plaza de Ópera, home of the Royal Theatre. You'll see way more in an hour than you'd manage on foot!
