Overview
A much-loved island, famous for its lighthouse and scenic nature. The childhood home of Swedish music legend Evert Taube and well worth a visit for its stunning scenery.
Jump aboard the M/S Carl Michael Bellman to experience a relaxing and picturesque cruise from the harbour, down the southern archipelago all the way down to the most western point of Gothenburg. Once you reach the island of Vinga you can explore the beautiful surroundings, discover the nature and follow the quaint trails towards the renowned lighthouse, Taube Museum, and swim in some of the west coast's best waters. Once you've finished exploring you can find a quiet spot in the sun and take in the views stretching out across the sea.
Beer, soft drinks, tea, coffee and cake are also available to you from the onboard café.
This is a guided boat excursion which takes you through Gothenburg’s beautiful archipelago to the lighthouse island of Vinga and back. We spend two hours on Vinga, so you have plenty of time to explore the island. During the boat trip, which takes about one and a quarter hours each way, your onboard guide provides interesting commentary about the archipelago and the attractions we pass. The M/S Carl Michael Bellman departs from Lilla Bommen and takes us through the Port of Gothenburg and across the archipelago to Vinga.
