Overview
Immerse yourself in the magic of Park Güell, where Gaudí's Art Nouveau architecture and stunning nature intersect.
Your Park Güell experience begins with a warm welcome from your host, who will bring you to the park entrance and provide an engaging introduction to the park in both English and Spanish. Learn helpful tips for discovering Park Güell and its hidden gems, often overlooked by independent travellers.
Once inside this otherworldly park, you’ll be free to explore its beauty at your leisure. Picturesque paths cling to the Turó del Carmel hillside, dotted with carob and olive trees. Here, you can wander freely and witness Gaudí’s early naturalist architectural style and geometric influences.
Climb the dramatic entrance staircase to reach the Hypostyle Room, made up of 86 Doric-style striated columns. Soak up the breathtaking views over the Nature Square and the Barcelona skyline from the Odeon, a Greek theater-style bench.
Admire El Drac, the iconic salamander statue’s vibrant blue and yellow mosaic tiles, applied in Gaudí’s signature ‘trencadís’ patchwork style.
Originally a private dwelling for wealthy residents, the park was designed in collaboration with Eusebi Güell. After Güell's death in 1918, his descendants opened Park Güell to the people of Barcelona and its visitors.
