Overview
Discover Gaudí’s Crypt at Colonia Güell, just 20 minutes from Barcelona and explore the five permanent exhibitions bringing Spanish history to life.
This historic textile village dates back to 1890 and is one of Barcelona’s most important historic sites, showcasing the city's industrial heritage. It was founded by Eusebio Güell and an army of modernist architects who helped create, design, and structure this replica village with a true Catalan art-nouveau feel.
Step back in time and marvel at 19th-century modernist architecture as you wander through the streets of this old industrial town. Don’t miss some of the most impressive buildings, Ca l’Ordal, which represents a traditional Catalan country house, as well as Can Soler de la Torre, which was a former home of the Güell family themselves, dating back to the 17th century.
